Buying House in Croatia since February ... is easier!
The most interesting implementation refers to the liberalization of the Croatian real estate market. Particularly, the implementation concerns citizens who can buy houses and apartments in Croatia, now without long bureaucratic delaying, while for other non-EU citizens will remain in force the existing standards. Regarding the purchase of houses and holiday houses, Croatia does not have another choice as it guaranteed in 2001 to liberalize the real estate market for European citizens by 2009. Therefore, from now on, the purchase of real estates in Croatia will be much easier, although the country will not join the EU for a few more years. Even so, the real estate market has already defined its rules, by raising the prices, and Croatian citizens, with their income, may compete less and less with the EU citizens, on the real estate market. |
