I love You !!! Croatia
Hidden inlets
The time is not important anymore. The silence is all around you. Only a gull or a boat sailing nearby may disturb the endless peace surrounding you… Or your plunge in the crystal sea in the sunset… this is a tale land, it sounds unreal, doesn’t it? This is just a small part… The mild Mediterranean climate with its 2387 sunny hours per year (the average sunshine is 10 hours per day) and the sea temperature reaching 25˚ C make Istria an ecological tourist destination. Spring is the most suitable season for a holiday break: for cycling, for walking along the paths, for hiking, for caves and caverns exploration, for free climbing, for playing tennis, for paragliding, for people preparing for their competitions, for their rehabilitation, for tourists interested in cultural, historical and natural exploration of Istria. Summer is exclusively for the sea lovers, it begins in May and lasts until the end of September. One could say that Istria, in this time of year, is the most alive. Visitors can enjoy the sun and the sea on many beaches of the Istria tourist destinations. For those seeking an active holiday, there is a wide range of interesting events, activities and fun. The evening hours are reserved for cultural events - festivals of film, theatre performances, concerts of the most famous musicians in the world, exhibitions of paintings, which are held mainly in important cultural and historical locations. Then, it must be mentioned the traditional summer festival in towns along the coast, with music, dance, wine and the famous “sardelle”. Instead, for those younger or those who feel that, there are not only the clubs but also the unique opportunity to see the Valkane Beach Party and Festival of bikers (motorcyclists). During the summer days do not forget the Green Istria. As always in the cities of Green Istria, that is the rural part of Istria, there are the traditional festivals where you will have the opportunity to know closely the folklore of Istria - Istria authentic music, dances and traditional costumes. In a few words the spirit of Istria. Autumn, like spring, is suitable for enjoying the natural beauties of the rural Istria. During these seasons you can participate in harvesting of the many autumn fruits - grapes, chestnuts, mushrooms ... Do not let escape the tour through the streets of the wine, which will take you to the homes of the Istra’s winemakers where you can eat a plate of local ham and cheese and drink a glass of authentic Istria’s wine. Winter, with its short and cold days will not give you too much space to the trips neither to the discovery of the surrounding landscape. We recommend you to visit one of the many Istrian taverns to warm and relax yourselves next to the fireplace while enjoying the famous Istria’s supa and tasting one of the many typical Istria dishes. |
